The Instructors
We teach Wing Chun as a practical, mechanical system for self-defence. Our objective is to provide students with a structured environment where the art is taught with technical precision and discipline. Every session is geared toward individual progress and the consistent application of the system's core principles.
A Technical Foundation
Our Lineage
Instruction at the academy is based on a verifiable lineage. This ensures that the mechanics you learn are structurally sound and historically consistent with the core system:
- Grandmaster Ip Man: Developed the system’s modern structural framework.
- Grandmaster Ip Ching: Ip Man’s son, who specialised in the precise application of Wing Chun's geometric principles.
- Master Ron Heimberger: Responsible for structuring the curriculum used in our academy today.
Our Philosophy
Structure Over Strength
Wing Chun was created to prioritise mechanical efficiency over brute force. By utilising body structure and geometry, the system allows a smaller individual to neutralise the force of a larger attacker.
